Companion Animal Hospital provides in-house diagnostic testing with same day results to pet owners in Hammond, Ponchatoula, Loranger, Tickfaw, and Independence, Louisiana. In order to get a complete picture of your pet’s overall health, it is necessary to go beyond a physical, outward examination. Using our diagnostic capabilities, our trusted veterinarians can check your pet inside and out, from nose to tail, and uncover any underlying conditions or abnormalities that may not be noticeable from the outside.
Our scope of diagnostic checks includes heartworm testing, feline leukemia and FIV testing, in-house parasite screening, pre-surgical panels, in addition to wellness screening for adults, seniors, and geriatric patients. We also conduct chemistry panels and take radiographs to diagnose sick or injured patients, and prepare a variety of panels to monitor chronic conditions.
Results from diagnostic testing can detect infection and anemia, determine electrolyte status and hydration levels, evaluate organ function, check blood sugar levels, and more. Test results for most of these services are made available while the client waits. This quick turn-around time means that your pet can receive a diagnosis and start treatment on the same day.
